Does splitting a PDF reduce the quality of its content?
No — each page's original text, images and fonts are copied directly into the new file rather than being re-rendered, so quality stays identical to the source PDF.
Will this work on a password-protected PDF?
Not reliably — the tool doesn't decrypt password-protected files, so processing an encrypted PDF usually fails or produces a broken file. Remove the password first with a PDF reader that supports it.
How are the split files named?
Each file keeps the original name with the page range appended — a single page becomes report-1.pdf, while grouping pages together produces names like report-1-5.pdf.
