Does it work with scanned PDFs?
Scanned image-only PDFs require OCR and are not supported yet. The PDF must contain selectable text.
Is the original layout preserved?
Text content and page breaks are preserved, but complex layouts, columns, and images are not recreated.
Are tables in the PDF kept as tables in the Word document?
No — unlike the PDF-to-XLS tool, this converter doesn't detect table structure. All text is extracted as plain paragraphs in reading order, so tabular data will look like flowing text rather than a table.
Does it bring over images, headers or footers from the PDF?
No, only the body text is extracted — images, headers, footers and other non-text elements aren't included in the .docx file.
Does this work with password-protected PDFs?
No — a PDF that requires a password to open can't be read by the tool, so the conversion will fail with an error.
