- Reading time assumes about 238 words per minute (average adult silent reading); speaking time assumes about 150 words per minute.
- Does it work for Chinese, Japanese and other languages?
- Yes. It uses your browser's language-aware word segmentation, so languages without spaces are counted correctly.
- Is my text saved or sent anywhere?
- No. The text stays in your browser tab and disappears when you close it.
- Is there a text length limit?
- No fixed limit — even very long documents are counted.
