Does muting reduce video quality?
No. The video stream is copied as-is; only the audio tracks are dropped, so the picture is bit-for-bit identical.
Why is it so fast?
Because nothing is re-encoded — the tool just rewrites the file without its audio tracks.
Which formats are supported?

Can I remove only part of the sound?
